About Family Care
Coordinating care, strengthening bonds
Our Mission
To make family coordination simple, respectful, and guilt-free for every generation.
The Problem We're Solving
Every day, millions of parents and grandparents struggle with the same frustrating cycle: endless text threads about childcare, unclear commitments, forgotten plans, and the guilt that comes with asking for help.
Parents feel guilty asking. Grandparents feel overwhelmed by technology. And somewhere in the chaos of group texts and calendar screenshots, family time gets lost.
We believe it doesn't have to be this way.
Our Story
Family Care was born from a simple observation: the apps that help families stay organised weren't designed for the whole family.
We watched grandparents struggle with tiny buttons and confusing interfaces. We saw parents hesitate to send another request, worried about being a burden. We heard stories of miscommunication, double-bookings, and the stress that comes when families can't coordinate effectively.
So we set out to build something different. An app that works for everyone, from tech-savvy parents to grandparents who "aren't good with technology". An app that makes asking for help feel natural, not guilt-inducing. An app that brings families together instead of adding to the chaos.
What Makes Us Different
Family Care isn't just another family organiser. We're the only coordination app designed accessibility-first for grandparents aged 60+.
Accessibility First
Large buttons, high contrast, simple navigation. Every design decision is made with our oldest users in mind.
Family First
We build features that strengthen relationships, not strain them. Coordination should feel like connection.
Simplicity Always
No cluttered interfaces, no confusing options. Just clear requests and clear answers.
Respect Built In
Our design encourages respectful communication. No pressure, no ambiguity, no guilt.
Our Commitment
We're committed to:
- Privacy: Your family data stays your family data. We never sell information or share it with advertisers.
- Accessibility: We continuously test with users aged 60+ and maintain WCAG 2.1 AA accessibility standards.
- Affordability: Core coordination features will always be free. Families shouldn't have to pay to stay connected.
- Listening: We actively seek feedback from families and incorporate it into our development roadmap.
